The ESRB says:
Mild Cartoon Violence: GamerDad found Looney Tunes style shenanigans in the game.
Crash, his sister Coco, and the whole bandicoot bunch from the popular Crash Bandicoot game series are ready for some action on your Nintendo DS. Similar to other video board games like the Mario Party series, Crash and pals tromp on giant game boards, rolling dice and landing on squares and using items to stymie the other players. Challenge other players to mini-games that use the DS touch screen and microphone. Win and get points to boost you to the lead.
In the mini-games, tap on the touch screen to make your horse go faster in a race, blow into the microphone to blow up a balloon the fastest, roll around Crash and company around in hamster balls with the stylus, and much more. Unfortunately, the mini-games aren't fun and goals and objectives on the game boards are not very clear and understandable. You can do multiplayer if everyone has their own DS and a copy of the game. The 3-D graphics are decent but in general, Crash Boom Bang! is not much of a bang at all.

Kids will like the familiar Crash Bandicoot characters and easy touch screen control, but that's probably all they'll like. Reading skill is required as all the board rules and game play are explained with text. However, it's still hard to understand what you're supposed to be doing even if you can read. Violence is minimal and cartoony. Multiplayer requires each kid to have a copy of the game. Honestly, there are much better choices of Nintendo DS games than Crash Boom Bang!.
