The ESRB says:
Comic Mischief: GamerDad says that just like in the TV show, Zack and Cody get into trouble, break vases, sneak around their parents and elders, and other tomfoolery. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is a live action sitcom for kids that airs on the Disney Channel cable TV network. It's about the adventures of two brothers, Zack and Cody, as they get into mischief and learn lessons in the hotel that they live in. Now you can get in on Zack and Cody's antics on the Game Boy Advance. Play as Zack and Cody as they explore the many rooms of the hotel in top-down 2-D fashion. They'll meet characters from the show, solve puzzles, and avoid security by sneaking around. Each one has specific skills and you switch between the two to tackle obstacles in each room. Zack can push and pick up boxes and throw water balloons. Cody has a vacuum cleaner that he uses to suck up far away objects and spit them out long distances. Players must use their abilities to the fullest to collect keycards, photos, and other items to advance the story. Graphics are kept simple, but it's easy to figure out what everything is that way. The music is repetitive and grating, unfortunately. Most of the puzzles and obstacles are pretty easy to figure out, but younger players may get stuck on a few non-intuitive ones. Play control is simple to learn but it would be nice if the boys could run a little faster, as they plod along at such a slow pace. However, the game uses all the characters of the show well and the story feels like an episode of Zack and Cody, so fans of the sitcom would really like this GBA adventure. ![]()
Zack and Cody's game has hardly any violence in it. Nobody dies or gets hurt, and the boys don't attack anything. But they do get into trouble and sometimes disobey their parents and players help them sneak around places they're not supposed to be. And a vase or ten gets broken. But if parents are OK with their kids watching the TV show, they'll be OK with the game, too. Reading skill is needed to understand the story and how to play, as everything is told with word balloons. Young players may get tired of the slower pace, but fans of the show will really dig the gameplay and authenticity of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on GBA.
Which Version to Buy? GBA: The version reviewed here. DS: This version appears to have similar gameplay, just with 3-D graphics. Comments? Chat about it in our forums!
