Blood and Gore: Zombies don't ムdie' unless you blow them up with a special weapon. The game makes those explosions a spectacle.
Intense Violence: Every mission involves killing loads of zombies ヨ and the more violent, the bigger your reward!
Strong Language:the cutscenes are hilarious, but definitely adult oriented in their language ヨ the jokes are racist, sexist, homophobic, and generally try to be offensive to everyone.

Has there ever been a bad time for killing zombies? Of course not! The past year has seen a flood of high-quality zombie-killing video game ヨ last fall there was Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without A Pulse, and just recently Dead Rising was released for the XBOX360. Released late last year, Infected brings the fun to the PSP in a mission-based action-shooter that loads up on the killing and attempts to offend just about everyone possible. It succeeds in a number of ways, including being a fun game that works well for short play periods.

The game plays out as a third person shooter, with you choosing missions and roaming the boroughs of New York City squashing the zombie threat. Perhaps roaming isn't the correct word, because this is no ムsandbox' game ヨ you get your missions and have to accomplish them within a fixed amount of time and meet certain criteria to succeed. Based on how well you do you earn rewards that unlock weapons and options. The missions are short and intense, with a thrashing metal soundtrack, and often require a ムfail and retry' approach. It is a recipe that is a blast is short bursts, but can become repetitious over longer periods. You will not feel compelled to finish the game, it is more about the experience of the missions ... oh, and the tawdry cutscenes are so much fun that they provide another reason to finish missions.

For an action game on a small screen, Infected is about as bad as possible. The violence is extreme and constant ヨ each area has zombies, sometimes just rampaging, other times trying to eat the brains of innocents and turn them undead. You need to kill them all or save all of the civilians as quickly as possible. And you do this with a heavy weapon in one hand and a ムviral gun' in the other. The viral gun uses your blood to obliterate the zombies once you have shot them until their ムhealth' is low enough. The viral gun causes them to explode, often injuring nearby zombies. It gets better ヨ certain missions want you to execute ムcombos', taking out more than one zombie with a viral gun blast. This is simply a matter of getting a number of zombies in close proximity to ムred' health status and blasting away with the viral gun. You are rewarded hugely for these combos ヨ the more zombies the bigger your reward. You are also rewarded for better explosions, including getting the zombie airborne before exploding.

While the gameplay is violent and gory enough to recommend this game for adults only, what happens in the cutscenes is every bit as extreme ヨ but in a very different way. It starts with the zombie invasion at the tree lighting in Rockefeller plaza, extending to insult all variety of people including the handicapped. You have cowardly politicians, psychotic law enforcement officers, and foul-mouthed broadcasters. Every cutscene is a gem ヨ and none of them are appropriate for kids. Most of the ムseven words' make an appearance, and are used properly and frequently in proper context. There is no nudity, perhaps the only thing they missed while making the game. But, as strange as it sounds, nudity would have been gratuitous in the game, whereas everything else fits in this over-the-top macabre world.
