Hannah Montana is the stage name of Miley Cyrus, a popular teen singer and actor. She also stars in a live-action sitcom that airs on the TV cable Disney Channel, also called Hannah Montana. Now you can join in on her TV adventures with Hannah Montana on the Nintendo DS. Someone has figured out Miley's secret identity and she must solve the mystery and figure out who knows her secret before he or she reveals it to the world.
The Hannah Montana DS title plays like a classic point-and-click style adventure game. Guide her around by tapping on the touch screen with the stylus as she walks around popular hangouts like the school and shopping mall. Tap on objects and people to investigate and talk to gather clues and items to help her solve the mystery. Sometimes you must draw certain shapes on the screen to open doors and pick correct responses in conversations, which is pretty pointless. Miley's best friend Lilly is always on hand to give her advice on what to do and where to go next. And when Hannah Montana needs to get somewhere fast, Lilly whips out her skateboard and you play a mini-game where you must use the stylus to drag obstacles out of the way so Lilly can skate down the street safely. Fans can take a break from the adventure and design clothes and fashions and trade them wirelessly with friends who also have a copy of the game and a DS.
Graphics are disappointing because they're all cartoony as opposed to the live-action characters in the show. And the droning rock music in the background is repetitive. Play control is easy to understand but only die-hard fans of the Hannah Montana TV show will dig this DS game.

Absolutely no violence here. Though reading skill is required as everything is text based. About the most objectionable thing in the game is that at one point, Hannah Montana goes to school in the morning, only to leave and go to the mall for sleuthing. She hurries back to school before the day ends, so it almost looks like she skipped school to go to the mall, even though they don't say that she did in the game. But if parents are OK with their kids watching the Hannah Montana TV show, they'll be OK with the game, too.
