Another year older and a few inches taller, GamerDad's youngest reporter returns to GenCon in Southern California.

With the success of last year's visit, GamerDad Unplugged once again sent 9 year old Aiden off to the GenCon convention in Southern California to take a look at what games might be most interesting to the true next generation of gaming. With another year under his belt, he wrote the entire article himself, with a little bit of editing help from his dad.

Hi, I'm Aiden Parker and I'm going to tell you about GenCon. I went to GenCon 2006 which is a board and card game convention. I got permission to come from gamerdad.com. I also want to say thanks to GenCon and gamerdad for letting me come.

The first game I went to was Scienauts. Scienauts is three card games that teach about the elements. I got a demo of the war like card game. I also got to hear about the harder games. The pack comes with three sets of element cards. There are also seven expansion sets. I bought everything.

The second game I went to was WarHammer online. In the game you run around as a customized character. I got to see and talk about it. They will have big army battles like the miniature game. I also got a double sided poster. It was from the makers of a cool game called Dark Age of Camelot. I used to watch my dad play.

The third game I went to was a computer game called Pirates of the Burning Sea. I got to play it. I got to create a character and walk around. I got my first quest to sail my ship and fight some bad raiders. Ship combat was the difference from other games.

I also went to Chesex dice. I bought cool dice that were blue and gold. There were many sizes and shapes. I also bought a dice bag. It was hard to decide which dice to buy!

The next booth I went to was Pieces of Eight. To play you use coins. The coins pictures that let you do different pirate like things. The cool thing is there is no table needed. I got to play it. I bought the whole game. It was fun.

I also went to a game called Anachronism. I got the demo. In the game famous rulers from history battle. It was a fun and easy-to-learn game.

In conclusion it was a very fun show. I want to do it again next year. Next year I want to enter tournaments. I also want to see more Pokemon again next year.
