The ESRB Says
Animated Blood: GamerDad used crush tactics to get rid of pesky enemies. Mild Suggestive Themes: There are a couple instances of minor innuendo that you might miss. Mild Violence: You can 'crush' enemies. There are some games that take a while to show you why they are good, and others that hit you right in the face. Crush is the latter - a concept so delicious that you know by the end of the tutorial that even if you just keep getting more of the same it will be brilliant fun. Fortunately there is more, as the puzzles get more involved and complex, and the simple 'insomnia cure' story background is interesting enough to entertain you as you play along. But it really doesn't matter because even if there wasn't a story at all I would whole-heartedly recommend this to anyone with a PSP. The concept is simple - get from beginning to end. But the great part is that you have to make the path happen by switching from 2D to 3D and changing and rotating the camera to open new paths and ways to get through the space. Some of these changes can be used to eliminate obstacles and the occasional hostile creature. Every puzzle is worth playing, and it is the type of perfect pick-up-and-play game that is made for handheld gaming - and you find yourself replaying puzzles to find stuff you missed and trim your time. At a few minutes a puzzle it only takes a couple of hours to get through the game, but aside from that this is a solid fun puzzler that PSP gamers should definitely play. ![]()
The ESRB has what seems to be a lot to say about a game that consists essentially of puzzles that require you to get from start to finish by switching from 2D to 3D. The descriptors are accurate, but are nearly irrelevant. Suggestive themes are in cutscenes, and are mild enough to barely deserve mention, and the violence and 'animated blood' come as part of the puzzle-solving process. I have no issue whatsoever with my kids playing this game because it is a puzzler at its core.
