DDR's been trying to get your arms involved for a few years now. Wii's tell you if they succeeded for the Wii.

Dance Dance Revolution is a wonderful game series that is finally appearing on every platform. HOTTEST PARTY marks the game's debut for Nintendo's family friendly Wii console and by adding a gimmicky arm movement system, manages to take some advantage of the Wii's power of movement.
If you're new to the concept DDR works like this: a special pad with the arrows of the compass on it lays on the floor and as arrows on the TV screen slide upward toward a bar, players have to - with their feet - hit the corresponding arrows in time with the music. Hottest Party adds arm movements by incorporating the Wii remote and nunchuk.
This isn't the first time DDR has tried to get arms involved, later PS2 versions incorporated the Eye Toy peripheral to similar effect as here. It adds to the challenge, it adds to the work out, but it really only makes a hard game that much harder. That's why its optional.
Hottest Party lets up to four dancers compete (players can use the remote buttons if they prefer, but this kinda misses the point) provided you buy more dance pads ($19.99 MSRP). It's not a must have for owners/users of the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 2 dancers, but for new players or people who want it on the Wii, this is a party worth crashing.

Dance Dance Revolution is a highly respected video game series that, for over a decade now, has been found to increase co-ordination, burn calories, and make people - especially adults - look foolish. The only questionable content is the somewhat suggestive lyrics. There's really nothing you couldn't hear on the radio though.
