LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Strategy Guide

LEGOGUIDE1The latest LEGO video game was recently released, and it’s based on the smash hit Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie!  Now you can be strong with The Force as well with this strategy guide from Prima Games.  Let’s take a quick look inside!

This guide covers all the versions of the game, including the handheld ones.  In fact, only half the guide is for the main console releases, and the other half is for the portable versions.  I guess those are different enough to warrant their own section.  I wouldn’t know, I usually only review the home console LEGO games.  Anyway, here is a larger picture of the front cover.

The guide starts off with gameplay basics and controls, and what the secret red bricks do.  There is also an extensive chart listing all the characters you can earn and unlock, and what skills they have.  There is even a checkbox for each character so you can cross them off when you find them in the game.

The majority of the guide is dedicated to maps and locations of secret items for every chapter in the Story Mode.  It also tells you where to find things when you come back to play it in Free Play.

One of the new things in this LEGO game is that some secret levels are unlockable after collecting a certain number of gold bricks, so the guide has sections for those, too, and where and when you unlock them.  It also shows where to find hidden goodies in the hub worlds, too.  And finally it has charts and checklists for every hidden item in the game, like a quick reference, as well as the trophies and achievements.  You also get a code for an online eguide, too.  Not bad for 20 bucks.

And that’s pretty much the guide.  While I don’t think you need the book just to finish the game, it would certainly come in handy if you want to 100 percent complete it.  It’s a very well-organized guide and easy to read.  Check back next time for my full review of the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game!
