Donkey Kong Bananza is the newest 3D platformer on Nintendo Switch 2, and of course they made an amiibo figure out of it.  And of course I got it, too, so let’s take a look at it.

I’m currently playing the game as of this writing, and it’s pretty darn good so far.  When you scan the amiibo, it sends out rocks in the shape of the KONG letters that you can pick up and throw around.  It also unlocks a new dress for Pauline, but you have to be further into the game to unlock it, and I haven’t gotten there yet.  I wish you could unlock it sooner, because I hear it allows enemies to drop more records, which lets you play them in the sound tests.  But oh well. Any other Donkey Kong amiibo sends out those KONG letters as well, and other amiibo will send out a random material that you can pick up and toss around.  At any rate, it’s a pretty cool amiibo for a pretty cool game.  –Cary
