Pac-Man Ramen

To promote a new Pac-Man game, Bandai Namco has teamed up with Maruchan Instant Ramen to make special packaging for their chicken flavor for a limited time.  You know how I like Pac-Man, so even though I don’t like ramen, I had to check this out!

Here’s a bigger picture of the ramen.  Really the only thing that’s changed is the outside packaging.  The cup and ramen inside are the same chicken flavor.  It’s not like the Pac-Man pasta I ate as a kid.  Any other 80s kids remember that?  I like how the bonus items in the maze on the packaging are ramen related.  I spotted a chicken leg, carrot, cup of ramen, a potato (I think), and a pea (I also think)

Here’s a closer shot of the front of the package.  I like how the side has a label showing it’s an official Namco product, and even has a Special Flag insignia like how the Pac-Man Gummies I reviewed a while back did.  The Special Flag is used in a lot of Namco games.

And here’s the top of the box.  It’s advertising the new Pac-Man game: Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac.  I’ll definitely be talking about this game later.  I think Bandai Namco has used this ramen brand to promote some of their games in the past, but it was all anime games I wasn’t interested in so I didn’t talk about those.

And that’s all for the Pac-Man ramen.  I’ll try one of the ones I got eventually.  But to tell you the truth, I really don’t like ramen.  I kind of wish I did develop a taste for it, since it’s so cheap.  These were 62 cents each.  But instant ramen isn’t very good for you anyway.  The package for this shows it has tons of calories and half your daily salt intake!  Wow!  Anyway, that’s all for now, later!  –Cary
