Gridz Keeper (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, X/S, PC)

Zombies are invading, and you must turn on the generators to fend them off in Gridz Keeper.  You know those puzzles, usually found in mini-games, where you must turn on all the lights, but when you turn one on, the others turn off?  Yeah that’s basically what this is.  It’s available on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.

In the game, you move around a wrench like a cursor, and when it’s over a generator you can push the button to turn it on or off, indicated by a green or red light.  But when you do this, the other generators around it turn off.  So you must figure out a way to turn them all to green.  When you do you can move onto the next level, and there are 50 in all.

For a game with zombies in it, there is no sense of urgency.  You can take your time with the puzzles.  I didn’t like how small the text was, or how there are levels that repeat themselves, and it’s basically just a mini-game in a lot of other titles.  But if you REALLY like this type of puzzle, you might enjoy this.

Kid Factor:

For a game with zombies in it, it’s surprisingly non-violent.  The pixel zombies just stand there in the background.  Reading skill is helpful for the text, but not necessary just to play.  Gridz Keeper is rated E for Everyone.
