Game Review: Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward (DS)
Today’s video games let you imagine yourself as any type of occupation, and not just a hardened mercenary or princess rescuing plumber. In some games you can be a doctor, a chef, even a lawyer. But in Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward, as a male or female nurse, it’s your job to guide patients to the doctor, then a bed, get the appropriate medicine, and send them on their way when they’re all better and happy.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a crossover fighting game featuring the main heroes and villains from the first ten Final Fantasy titles. It’s easily one of the best games on the PSP right now, alongside my other favorites such as Loco Roco and Mega Man: Powered Up. With original fighting gameplay mechanics and TONS of things to do, Square Enix has really made it their own and separates it from being another tired fanservice crossover game. The best part of the game is all the memorable characters you can play as, each one plays different. So we’ll take a look at each character in this blog.
Yarrr! Hoist the anchor, walk the plank, swab the poop deck, flibber the gibbets, and all that other piratey talk! Pirates: Duels on the High Seas for the Nintendo DS is an arcadey pirate ship naval battle simulator with fast action and simple to understand controls.
When most gamers think of a hedgehog in a hurry, a blue spiky speedster with attitude who hasn’t been in many good games lately springs to mind. But these little critters in Hurry Up, Hedgehog! on the DS serve as playing pieces in this video game adaptation of a strategy board game I’ve never heard of called “Igel Algern” (or Egelrace).

When we last left Guybrush Threepwood: Mighty PirateTM, he had narrowly escaped the mystic winds of Flotsam Island, as well as the mad doctor who wanted his voodoo-cursed hand. But, the pirate hunter Morgan LeFlay has boarded his ship en route to rescue Guybrush’s wife Elaine. A swashbuckling battle ensues, and Morgan chops off Guybrush’s cursed hand, leaving him with a ‘handy’ hook. Now, setting sail for the Jerkbait Islands, Guybrush encounters a group of androgynous Mer-Folk, who task him with finding three mystic artifacts. These artifacts can lead him to a magical voodoo sponge that can soak up the Pox of LeChuck that Guybrush has unwittingly released, which is infecting pirates all over the Caribbean. But can Guybrush find them all before a group of nasty infected pirates completely take over the Mer-Folks’ home of Spinner Cay?
Village Chief and elder Brave spends his days telling stories to the young members of his tribe, passing down wisdom from his ancestors and teaching the children lessons through his tales. His latest yarn tells how he, as a younger Brave, defeated the evil spirit Wendigo. His tale is so vivid that the children can almost see it happening right in front of them. Join young Brave in this 3-D action platform jumping adventure based on Native American folklore and mythology.
