The Mini Games of Duck Amuck

In the 1953 Looney Tunes cartoon Duck Amuck by Chuck Jones, an unseen animator bugs the crap out of Daffy Duck, with hilarious results. And this past year, a Nintendo DS game was made with that same concept and title. As a fan of cartoons, I was mildy curious about this game, but didn’t want to play full price for it. I’m sorry, GameCrazy, but it’s just not worth 35 bucks. Luckily I found it for 20 bucks elsewhere, so I decided to snag it.
Video games have come a long way in their 30 some odd year history. Blocky pixels have been replaced with smooth, 3-D polygons. Controlling your character has gone from one joystick and one button to actually moving the whole controller yourself. And what was jarring bleeps and bloops is now sweeping musical scores worthy of an orchestral soundtrack. And now, finally, people can enjoy their favorite video game songs played by a real orchestra with Play! A Video Game Symphony.
Welcome to the highly anticipated (by some people) Cary’s Best Video Games of 2007 Awards Show! With special guest stars like Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere, Ridley from Metroid Prime 3, Toad from the Mario series, Captain Rose from Zack & Wiki, Polka from Eternal Sonata, and many more! Well, Christmas is over with, and I got everything I wanted. So here’s the typical blog describing what I got. And since Christmas is a time for giving as well as receiving, I thought I’d also tell you all what I GAVE to others. Because I like giving presents just as much, if not more so, than getting them.
