Aside from Tetris and Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, one of my all-time favorite puzzle game series is Bust-A-Move. Heck, even my mom loves these games. It’s also known as Puzzle Bobble, and I prefer that name since the game is based on the arcade classic Bubble Bobble, so it makes more sense. But anyway, now you can download one of the classic PlayStation entries in the series published by Natsume, downloadable on PSN (reviewed on PS3 here).

I LOVED the original Half-Minute Hero. It was one of my favorite games on the PSP. Check out my review here. Now the sequel is out, and I’m a little sad because it’s for PC and I don’t have a Steam account (nor do I have time for one). But that won’t stop me from letting my friend Leroy review it! Ragnarok Odyssey ACE (PS3, Vita)

Ragnarok is one of the oldest online multiplayer games out there, and it has received sequels, a cartoon, toys and other products, and many spin-offs. Ragnarok Odyssey ACE for PS3 and Vita is one of those spin-offs (reviewed on PS3 here). Create a character and send them out on quests to defeat monsters and explore new lands in this 3-D action RPG that’s similar to other titles like Phantasy Star Online and Monster Hunter.

Once upon a time in a fantasy land, there lived an evil, spiteful swamp witch. She wanted to take over the world, but she couldn’t leave her swamp home, or else she would lose her magical powers. So one day she summoned a magical creature called the Hundred Knight, who could leave her swamp and fight for her. Unfortunately for her, the Hundred Knight ended up being a cute little critter and not very fearsome. But with a little bit of her magic, the Hundred Knight could at least fight. Reader Review: Adventure Time: Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest (PC)

Adventure Time is one of Cartoon Network’s most popular shows, and now there is yet another game featuring the adventures of Finn and Jake. Their computer friend BMO has been kidnapped (oh no, not BMO, he’s my favorite character), and now the boy and magical dog duo have to go rescue him in this beat ‘em up adventure on Steam. One of my younger brothers, Nathan Woodham, is a big Adventure Time fan so I had him review this game, so check it out!
Lethal Lance (iPad)

With his tough sounding name, scruffy beard and clothes, and gun-toting ways, Lance is about as lethal as a marshmallowy little man with stubby legs can be. Which isn’t much. For reasons we do now know, Lethal Lance is tasked with shooting critters, collecting coins, and hopping over obstacles in this 2-D run-and-gun platformer for iOS devices (reviewed on iPad here).
LEGO The Hobbit (360, Wii U, 3DS, PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox One)

Based on the movie and book, LEGO The Hobbit takes you on an adventure in Middle Earth. Play as Gandalf the Wizard as well as a host of dwarves, Hobbits, and other characters as they tromp all over Middle Earth looking for treasure and face off against the fearsome Smaug the dragon! LEGO The Hobbit is available for all current game systems, but reviewed on 360 here.
Free Dum (iPad)

A ladybug (unfortunately) named Dum has been bugnapped by Max, a mean little kid whose room is a torture chamber for insects. Kind of like Sid’s room from Toy Story, except with bugs, not playthings. Now Dum must escape mazes filled with traps and tricks in this action game for iOS and Android (reviewed on iPad here).
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (PS3)

BlazBlue is a series of one-on-one 2-D fighting games featuring beautiful hand-drawn sprites and backgrounds, a unique cast of characters, and one of the most complicated sci-fi back stories of any fighter I’ve ever played. And now you can enjoy the newest in the series on your PS3 (and soon to be released on Vita in a few months).
