Game Review: Michael Phelps: Push the Limit (Xbox 360 Kinect)
Dive right into what may be the world’s first swimming video game. And no, the water levels in Mario games don’t count. Actually there was an old 80’s arcade game called “Swimmer” so I guess it’s not the very first. Anyway, use your whole body to swim in Olympic style races with Michael Phelps: Push the Limit for Xbox 360 Kinect.
Game Review: Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster (Xbox 360 Kinect)
One day, Cookie Monster and Elmo bump into each other on Sesame Street. Elmo was carrying a bunch of books, so after they both pick up the mess, Cookie Monster decides to read a special book to Elmo called Once Upon a Monster. Now you and your little monsters can hop into the storybook with Elmo and Cookie for a fun-filled adventure with new and old monsters. No controllers are needed, as this Kinect game is designed for gamers young and old to play together. This just might be the best Sesame Street game ever made. Want to find out why? Then just click to read the rest of the story (Well, the rest of the review anyway).
Game Review: Hulk Hogan’s Main Event (Xbox 360 Kinect)
Game Review: Mercury Hg (Xbox LIVE, PSN)
You may have seen or played Mercury when it sloshed onto the PSP or Wii, but now it’s oozing into HD with Mercury Hg on Xbox Live and PSN. This action puzzler plays a lot like other ‘tilt the ball around a maze’ games like Marble Madness, Super Monkey Ball, or Xbox LIVE’s classic Marble Blast Ultra. (360 version reviewed here)
Game Review: Street Smart (PS Minis)
Game Review: Ben 10: Galactic Racing (Wii, 360, PS3, 3DS, DS)
Game Review: Okabu (PS3)
Okabu gives new meaning to the term “Cloud Gaming.” I’ve heard of a game where you can play as Cloud, but not a game where you can play AS a cloud! Anyway, in Okabu, a new downloadable game for PS3, the evil mechanical Doza tribe is polluting the air, making life difficult for the cloud whales that live high in the sky. Two cloud whale brothers decide to descend to Earth to see what all the trouble is. Along the way, they meet the peaceful Yarubo tribe, who lives at one with nature. The two cloud brothers now must help their new friends and stop the polluting Doza tribe once and for all!
Game Review: Wipeout 2 (Wii, PS3, 360, 3DS, DS)
The second season of Wipeout games is upon us! Based on the hit TV obstacle course game show, you’ll guide a cast of wacky characters through a crazy course as you try to not get knocked into the water. But is the second game better than the first? You’ll just have to read on to find out! (Wii version reviewed here)
Game Review: Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2012 (360, PS3, Wii)
Game Review: Go Vacation (Wii)
If you want to take a vacation, but can’t afford one, might I suggest dusting off your Nintendo Wii and buying Go Vacation, a new outdoor sports game from Namco. Many reviewers have said that Go Vacation is a rip-off of Wii Sports Resort, but I disagree. Go Vacation is really more of a sequel to We Ski and We Ski and Snowboard, which were also great sports titles. Except in Go Vacation, not only do you get to visit a snow resort, you’ll also explore beach, city, and mountain resorts, too!
