If you want to take a vacation, but can’t afford one, might I suggest dusting off your Nintendo Wii and buying Go Vacation, a new outdoor sports game from Namco. Many reviewers have said that Go Vacation is a rip-off of Wii Sports Resort, but I disagree. Go Vacation is really more of a sequel to We Ski and We Ski and Snowboard, which were also great sports titles. Except in Go Vacation, not only do you get to visit a snow resort, you’ll also explore beach, city, and mountain resorts, too!
Neo-Geo Station: Metal Slug 2 & King of Fighters ’96 (PS3, PSP)

SNK’s got some real treats for you this October! Two of their best Neo-Geo titles are now available for download on PS3 and PSP. First is the 2-D action run-and-gunner Metal Slug 2. And then there’s the iconic brawler The King of Fighters ’96.

Spider-Man’s future is at stake! In the turn of the next century, an evil businessman named Sloan creates a one-way time machine, and uses it to go back in time so he can become even more powerful in the future. It’s up to present day Spider-Man and the Spider-Man from the year 2099 to work together in both time frames to save the fate of the world, and Spider-Man himself! Spider-Man: Edge of Time is available for all the major video game consoles, but here we’re going to look at the 3DS and DS version, for when you need some on-the-go web slinging.

Reader Review: Dead Rising 2: Off the Record (PS3, 360)

The original Dead Rising zombie game starred photojournalist Frank West, but the sequel featured a new main character. But if you missed good ol’ Frank from the first game, well, you’re in luck. Just in time for the month of Halloween it’s Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It’s the same game as before, but now you can play as Frank West and take pictures. My brother and Dead Rising fan, Jeff Orth, will be guest reviewing this one today (360 version reviewed here).
The Tremendous Trials of Tetris Axis (3DS)

Originally I wasn’t going to buy Tetris Axis, the new Tetris game on 3DS. Tetris may be my favorite puzzle game and all, but I don’t see any reason to own every single version of the game. Of course, that doesn’t stop me from buying every Pac-Man game out there, but that’s just the enigma that is me. But anyway, the other day I saw a video on how many different game modes were in Tetris Axis, and they looked like fun, so I caved in and picked it up after all. Besides, I promised my mom that when Animal Crossing comes out on 3DS, I’d buy her one, and this might be a game she would like to play, too. So on this blog, we’re going to take a look at the many game modes and other features of Tetris Axis!

X-Men: Destiny is out for all the major popular game consoles, but here we’re going to take a look at the DS version. Play as Samuel, whose mentor is Reyes, a diplomat trying to bridge the gap between mutants and humans. When Magneto attacks during a ceremony honoring the passing of Charles Xavier, Samuel discovers he has mutant powers. Now you have control over what powers Samuel will have, what side he’ll take, and even what his costume will look like!
