Eidos Says: Buy our games … buy alllll of them!

New games coming to Steam are no big deal – nor is the ability to grab favorites for a reasonable price and not have to worry about play disks and whatnot.  I wouldn’t report on any of that … but I just have to tell you what is now cooking on Steam!

Eidos has launched what they are calling the ‘Everything Pack’, which is a bundle of … um … everything!  Obviously not every game from Eidos, but all 20 of the games they have available on Steam.  For the price of $99.99.  If you add the current price of all of these games you get $389.80 … meaning that if you are interested in even a few of these games this is a no-brainer.  Heck, I own at least two-third of the list and I’m thinking about it just for the ‘no CD’ option!

Just look at this list of games:

  • Battlestations: Midway
  • Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
  • Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty
  • Commandos 2: Men of Courage
  • Commandos 3: Destination Berlin
  • Commandos: Strike Force
  • Conflict: Denied Ops
  • Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition
  • Deus Ex: Invisible War
  • Hitman: Codename 47
  • Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
  • Hitman: Blood Money
  • Infernal
  • Just Cause
  • Kane and Lynch: Dead Men™
  • Project: Snowblind
  • Rogue Trooper
  • Thief: Deadly Shadows
  • Tomb Raider: Anniversary
  • Tomb Raider: Legend

They might not all be classics, but there is a good representation of action, adventure, FPS/RPG and pure shooters in the bunch.  Definitely worth looking into!

  1. Looks like they’ve pretty much hit on the head my non-target audience preferences…

(ie. At first glance it looks like there are almost no titles on there that are my preferred style of game…)

Good deal for those who like those genres, though…

  2. A lot of these are also available on GameTap, some of them for free. Still a decent Steam deal if you like to keep your games though.

  3. I love GameTap, but the requirement to always be online in order to play any of the games (which is inherently hilarious when playing pre-internet games like Might & Magic II) is a pain … our new house is big enough that a single wireless base station doesn’t cover the whole place … I have bought new ‘extenders’ … but at least with Steam once I activate I can play offline.

  4. Well, I just found out that Deus Ex is going ‘free’ on GameTap next week.

  5. Yes, that’s what prompted my post. Excellent point about the required internet connectivity with GameTap, however.

  6. Did it jump out at anybody else that almost all the games have a colon in the name somewhere? Huh.

  7. hehe … bey Beavis … he said ‘colon’ …

    😀
