Give Blood says the Resident of Evil Creek

So this seems fitting!  Remember when some cranky old judge – ruling against video games – referred to one of the most famous video games as “The Resident of Evil Creek.” Ha ha! So lame! Wait, oh yeah, it happend like 9 years ago. Nevermind. This is news from Capcom about a Blood Drive (something I can’t do anymore, sadly). Here it comes…

CAPCOM PRESS RELEASE

Hundreds of gaming fans, volunteers and good Samaritans gathered in Hollywood today to join Capcom and the American Red Cross for a blood drive, ushering in the launch of Resident Evil 5 (on Xbox 360® and PlayStation 3).

This is the wrong way to give blood.
This is the wrong way to give blood.

Fans of Resident Evil franchise and gamers in the LA area were invited to give back to the community by donating blood at the World of Wonder gallery on Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, Calif. from 11 am – 5 pm.  Participants were given the chance to receive exclusive limited-edition Resident Evil 5 Blood Drive collectibles, win copies of the game, enter a raffle for one of several exclusive red Xbox 360® Resident Evil limited edition consoles while participating in a good cause.

Kiosks showcasing the game were also on-hand for fans to get a sneak peek at the eagerly anticipated new game.
