Game Review: BloodRayne: Betrayal (Xbox LIVE, PSN)

Before I start the review of this surprisingly good game, I just have to say one thing. I can’t stand vampires. People who suck blood? That just sounds so gross! I grill my steaks very well done so I don’t see any pink in them, that’s how bad I am. And don’t get me started on stuff like Twilight. Blech! So naturally I don’t enjoy very many vampire video games. So what makes the downloadable BloodRayne: Betrayal special? Why did I like it so much? Well you’ll just have to read the review to find out! Last week, early adopters of the 3DS got their first taste of the Ambassador Program with ten free NES games. Game Review: Cladun x2 (PSP)

Last year, NIS America released Cladun, a downloadable dungeon crawler on PSP with classic game visuals and tendencies (Cladun actually means ‘Classic Dungeon). Now they’ve followed it up with Cladun x2, and while it’s just more of the same, you get more dungeons, more monsters, more treasures, and just more Cladun gameplay overall.

Game Review: Crazy Machines Elements (Xbox LIVE)

In Crazy Machines Elements, a downloadable game for Xbox LIVE, you’re tasked with building Rube Goldberg-styled devices to perform a task. You’re given a set number of materials, anything from blocks, ropes, fuses, gears, trolleys, kettles, and other crazy tools. Then you must place them strategically and put the contraption in motion to achieve a goal. If this sounds anything like the classic PC game The Incredible Machine, that’s because it is. Except Crazy Machines Elements has physics-based 3-D graphics, more puzzles and materials, and console-friendly controls.
