G.P. the GamerPuppet Unboxes Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call Collectors Edition (3DS)

GAME1Hey folks, G.P. the GamerPuppet here. Game reviewer Cary just loved the original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy game.  It was a music game featuring memorable songs from the Final Fantasy series of RPGs.  Cary played it WAY too much back then, and even named it his Game of the Year for 2012!  So when the sequel was released this week, Cary splurged and got the Collectors Edition that you could only order from Square-Enix’s website.  Think of it as a birthday present to himself.  But first I’ll unbox it and show you everything you get inside!

First of all, here is the box it comes in. Apologies that the pictures a bit dark.  They looked brighter on Cary’s camera.

GAME1

Inside you’ll find the game and a CD soundtrack.

GAME2

But the game is inside the box that has yet another music CD, this one just sampler. I think if you reserved your copy at Amazon, you got this.

GAME3

Also in the box is a case for your 3DS. It looks like it’s meant for the 3DS XL, though.  Too bad, as Cary only has the regular 3DS.

GAMECASE

In both Theathrythm games, you can earn virtual trading cards featuring characters and enemies from the Final Fantasy series drawn in the cute Theatrhythm style. Cary went crazy and got ALL the virtual cards form the first game, and he wished they would make REAL cards like this.  Well, the last thing you get in the Collectors Edition is a set of real cards!  They’re even shiny like they are in the game!

CARD1

Here are some more Theatrhythm cards that Cary got at PAX. Keep in mind that these three cards were NOT in the Collectors Edition.  Cary only got these at the Square-Enix press room, he’s not even sure they were given out on the show floor.  I wonder if there are any other cards you can get somehow.

CARD2

And that’s all for now! Later!
