Flow Water: 3-D Fountain Puzzle (Mobile)

One of my favorite puzzle games is Pipe Dream.  In that game, you placed different shaped pipes to lead a path of water around.  Flow Water: 3-D Fountain Puzzle takes that concept and adds 3-D visuals and gameplay to the mix.  It’s available free-to-play on mobile devices, but reviewed on iPad here.

In each level you’ll have water coming out of one block on a grid field, and a fountain (or fountains) somewhere else on the same grid.  Your job is to get water to those fountains.  You do this by using your finger to place blocks around the field to guide the water where it needs to go.  These blocks have grooves with straight lines, curves, and more.  You can also stack blocks on top of each other if you need to.  Sometimes you may have to go under blocks and use other creative paths and objects like large pools and such.

The game has hundreds of levels right from the start, but you can unlock more and remove ads in the in-game shop with real money.  Aside from the constant barrage of ads, the only other problem I had is sometimes it’s hard to see holes in blocks that you can send water through.  You can rotate the level a bit, but it still involves some trial and error.  Luckily you don’t have a time limit or anything like that, so the game isn’t very stressful.  You get 6 hints at the start you can use, but can buy more if you need them.  So if you like Pipe Dream as much as I do, you may want to check this one out.

Kid Factor:

Nothing violent or objectionable here.  Reading skill is helpful for some of the text, but not necessary just to play.  Parental supervision is recommended for the in-game ads and purchases.
