nGolf (Switch)

nGolf is a basic top down viewed mini-golf game for Nintendo Switch.  Travel to eight different themed worlds: Egyptian, Ice, Amusement Park, Italian Town, Beach, Farm, Japanese Garden, and Magical Forest.  Each world has eight holes for you to tackle.

You’ll adjust your aim and the strength of your shot with the L control stick, and hit the ball with the button.  As an extra challenge, try and get all the stars in a course, too.  Avoid obstacles like spikes, tornadoes, and water, as hitting these will make you start at the beginning of the hole, which is annoying.

I’m always up for a simple mini-golf game, but this one had too many problems for me to get into.  Since the Switch JoyCons suck, using the control stick is harder than it should be.  Hitting obstacles that start you over is annoying, and they don’t explain the controls very well at the start.  Plus the game could’ve used more holes.  Sure eight worlds with eight holes each sounds like a lot, but you’ll zip through each world in less than five minutes.

Kid Factor:

Nothing violent or objectionable here.  Reading skill is helpful for some of the menu text, but not necessary just to play.  nGolf is rated E for Everyone.
