Gravitators (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, X/S)
Gravitators is a twin stick shooter where you pilot a variety of ships as you blast enemies, navigate tricky mazes, pick up objects, and solve puzzles. It’s available on current PlayStation and Xbox consoles but reviewed on PS4 here.
As with other twin stick shooters, you move with the L stick and aim to shoot with the R stick. You’ll use every other button on the controller to fire various weapons, pick up objects with a tractor beam, activate a shield, and more. Luckily the game has tutorials to show you the ropes, but I do wish there was a control guide you could look at in case you forget what each button does. You’ll pilot all types of ships with various kinds of firepower and sometimes you must pick up objects and place them somewhere else in the maze to move on or activate a switch, so there’s a bit of puzzle solving mixed with all the spaceship blasting.
My main two problems with this game is that one, it gets too hard too quickly. And two, the text in the game is way too small to read. Plus these types of games aren’t my cup of tea anyway. But if you enjoy twin stick shooters like these, you might want to try it out anyway.
Kid Factor:
Gravitators is rated E-10 with ESRB descriptors of Fantasy Violence and Mild Blood. I didn’t notice any blood, and all you do is zap spaceships and alien creatures with lasers and defeated characters just explode. Reading skill is needed for the text, and younger gamers may find it too difficult.

Interesting. I’ve come to be fond of twin-stick shooters and love the graphics in this game. I’ll have to check it out on Xbox.
