Talking Flower
It’s Wonder Week here at GamerDad, where we’ll look at three things released related to Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Nintendo made a real life toy version of one of those Talking Flowers that first appeared in Wonder and later in the newest Mario Party and Tennis entries. I got one so let’s take a look at it.
Here is a bigger picture of the front of the box.
And here are the other sides of the box.
Last is the talking flower out of the box.
So the bottom part of the pot pops off and you can put two AA batteries inside (not included of course). There’s also a little digital LCD screen on the bottom where you can set the time. Then your talking flower will tell you the time every hour, and say something randomly otherwise. I found that aside from the hour, the flower will say two different things in an hour, around 20 minutes or so apart. It gets annoying, but luckily you can mute the flower. Supposedly it can also play music, but I didn’t get that to work. Ultimately it’s just a cheaper more annoying Alarmo and I wasn’t that impressed with it. Not worth the price, even if it was cheaper than I thought it would be. –Cary
