Fallout Jones Sodas

I don’t know much about the Fallout game series as it’s not my cup of tea.  But my brothers love those games and I’ve watched them play the games in the past, so I know a little bit about them.  I know they have a brand of soda in the game called “Nuka Cola” that has a bit of radiation in it, and I know they use bottle caps as currency in the games.  Plus I think there’s a Fallout TV show now?  Anyway, now you can try some of the sodas in the game (without the radiation I hope) thanks to Jones Sodas.

So I found these at Costco recently, and they’ve had them since Christmas so I think they’re in for the long haul so you still may be able to find them there now.  Here’s a bigger picture of the side of the case.

And here’s a picture of the other side.

The case includes three flavors, and four of each one.  The first is “Sunset Sarsaparilla.”  I’ve always heard in Westerns about people drinking Sarsaparilla, and the Smurfs use Sarsaparilla leaves in the comics, so I was always curious as to how it tastes.  But where you would find that?  Anyway, I’ve tried it now and it has a root beer taste to it so now I know!  The Nuka Quantum has a blue raspberry flavor to it, and the Nuka Grape is grape of course.  And both are really gross.  But then, I don’t like most flavored sodas anyway.  Here’s a picture of the three flavors.

The case also comes with a cool pouch with a bottle cap magnet that is also a bottle opener, as well as three extra bottle caps.

And that’s all for now!  Let me know what you think in the comments section.  Later!  –Cary

  1. I love sarsparilla. I think of it as an edgier root beer (depending on the brand of root beer…)

  2. Neato. I’ll mention it to a cowrker who is a huge Fallow fan. I might get one too. I saw a Fallout recipe book the other day as well..
