Sizeable (Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox X/S, PC)
Sizeable is a puzzle game where you are presented with a diorama in an isometric view. You can change the sizes of some of the things in the diorama that’ll reveal hidden secrets on the field or affect other objects. It’s available on most current consoles and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.
In the game you control a cursor with the left control stick, and can rotate the level with the L and R trigger buttons or the right control stick. When you are over an item you can interact with, the cursor will change letting you know you can do something with it. You can either pick it up and move it around by holding the A button, or using the L and R shoulder buttons to change its size. Your goal in each level is to find these rectangular monolith things, make them the biggest size, and place them on the corners of the diorama so they’ll light up. That’s how you finish a level. You can also find a hidden turtle in each stage as well.
Some examples of the puzzles include making a palm tree in a desert really big so it sucks all the water out of an oasis so you can see what was underneath it. Other solutions are more complicated, like making a battery big enough to power a lighthouse, then making the lighthouse big, and then making the moon big so it causes the tide to rise and a ship to come in. My only problems with this game are that I wish you could zoom in on the dioramas since sometimes things are hard to see when they’re small. And sometimes the goals and objectives aren’t very clear. But otherwise this is a pretty clever little puzzle game.
Kid Factor:
Nothing violent or objectionable here. Reading skill is helpful for the control instructions on the first level, but that’s it. Sizeable is rated E for Everyone.
