Cary’s Summer Movie Roundup

Well, summer’s almost over. This summer I watched a lot of movies in the theater. Last summer I hardly watched any movies at all because they all kinda sucked. But this year it seemed there was a lot of flicks worth watching on the big screen in comparison. So I thought today I’d write a little blog with brief reviews of all the movies I’ve seen this summer, and give out a Best Summer Movie award! Read on to find out what it is. You’ll be surprised, I bet!

Game Review: SoulCalibur IV (360, PS3)

I HATE fighting games. I stink at them so badly and I can’t figure out all those button combinations and moves. I’m lucky if I can make Ryu poop out a fireball! However, even though I detest fighting games, I still really like SoulCalibur IV. That’s how good it is.

Cary’s Favorite Live Action TV Shows

While recently watching the new X-Files movie, I started thinking about TV shows I’ve enjoyed throughout my life. I usually don’t watch much TV, and when I do, there’s a good chance that it’ll be something animated, not live action. However, over the years there have been some live action TV shows that I’ve really enjoyed, and I thought I’d share my memories of them with you.

Anyway, the three games I got were Bokura no TV Games Kentei (DS), Slide Adventure: Mag Kid (DS), and Bit Generations: Coloris (GBA).

Game Review: Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 (DS)

Those Tamagotchi virtual pets are hopping out of their keychains and onto the Nintendo DS. Shops are open and back in business for the third time as young (and young at heart) gamers play occupation-based mini-games to make their Tamagotchi customers happy.

Can you believe it’s the middle of July and the year’s half over already? The last half of the year is usually when all the big name games come out, and a good majority of those were announced and shown off at this past week’s E3 trade show. So a lot of the games in the first part of the year tend to be forgotten. So in honor of those games released in the first part of the year, I present my “Best Video Games of the Year SO FAR” Awards!
