BlizCon 2011 – KidReport
Just a few short weeks ago, we sent our kid reporter on the scene (well, teenager now) to make his annual pilgrimage to BlizzCon (with his mom, of course). Here’s what he thought of the action…
On October 21-22, 2011, Anaheim, California was flooded with Blizzard fanatics from around the world, there to see Blizzard’s world renowned convention: BlizzCon! Every year thousands of people around the globe gather in the Anaheim Convention Center for a sneak peak at what Blizzard is engaged in at the time, complete with panels, demos, and free stuff. I was among the crowd, weaving my way through the masses, toward the convention center, speculating about the new World of Warcraft expansion that I had heard nothing about yet.
Cary’s Scary Halloween Blog: My Top Five Favorite Vampires
Well it’s getting close to Halloween, so I thought I’d treat you all to a super scary blog! Well, it’s not that scary. During this time of year, our minds drift to thinking of all sorts of Halloween monsters, from witches to zombies to ghosts. All of these are gross and scary to a certain degree, but to me, none is more scarier and grosser than vampires! I just think they’re so disgusting! Drinking blood just sounds so nasty to me! I don’t understand why anyone would find that alluring. And don’t get me started on that Twilight junk. So I started to think about if there are any famous vampires that I actually like. And I thought of five. Just five. So I thought I’d share them with you all!

Cabela’s “Adventure Starts Here” Video Game Tour
If you like hunting and outdoor video games, you might want to check out your local Cabela’s store or Wal-Mart and see if you spot a big trailer in the parking lot all decked out to show off Activision’s new Cabela’s hunting game titles. I went to the Cabela’s in Allen, TX this Sunday and got a good look at the hunting games from Activision out now or during the holidays.
Game Preview: Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure
Kids like action figures, and kids like video games, so it only makes sense to try and merge the two together. Well, Activision plans to do just that with Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. It’s an upcoming video game set to release later next month for all the major current popular gaming consoles. And it stars the famous purple dragon Spyro on a new adventure. Click to read the preview and learn how it all works.

Cary and Jeff’s PAX Adventures (Day 3)
The final day of PAX was just for some last-minute meetings and tying up loose ends, as we had to leave a little early for the trip home. So here are some final thoughts on the last day of the show. Boy am I tired! Oh yeah, over on the right, that’s a picture of our view of Seattle from our hotel room. Pretty nice, huh?
Cary and Jeff’s PAX Adventures (Day 2)
On Day 2 of PAX, I had meetings with Sega, Twisted Pixel, Wizards of the Coast, and others. I discovered that the best part of Nintendo’s booth wasn’t even in their booth at all! And check out Seattle’s most germiest tourist attraction as well as the best hot dog stand in the world! Click to read about all this and more!
