Hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy, Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader is a TV game show where adult contestants try and answer school questions that 5th graders are required to know and learn in class. If the grown-ups forget or if that subject is a little fuzzy, they can call upon actual elementary school kids to help them out for a limited time. And now you can test and see if you’re smarter with the 3DS game based on the television series.
Paddington: Adventures in London (3DS)

I never really read any of the Paddington Bear books when I was a kid, which is where that character got his start. But when I was little, I do remember seeing lots of Paddington Bear stop-motion animated shorts on TV and on filmstrips at school (I’m really aging myself here). In fact, Paddington had a perchance for eating marmalade sandwiches, and when I was a kid I had never heard of marmalade. So when I saw it at the grocery store when I was little, I convinced my mom to buy some so I could try Paddington’s favorite treat. I learned something that day, marmalade is DISGUSTING! Why couldn’t he have liked pizza instead? Fast forward to earlier this year. A new Paddington Bear movie hit theaters, and I recently saw it on video. It really wasn’t that bad of a movie at all, a very charming family flick that stays true to the source material. And now you can play a game on the 3DS based on Paddington’s adventures.

Adventure Time is one of Cartoon Network’s most popular shows, and Puzzle Quest is one of the most famous puzzlers in the past ten or so years. Race as and against your favorite Cartoon Network characters in this top-down viewed kart game, downloadable on iOS and Android devices (reviewed on iPad here). Actually they look more like four-wheelers than karts, but whatever. You’ll play as characters from Cartoon Network’s large history of characters and shows, like Clarence, Steven Universe, Johnny Bravo, PowerPuff Girls, Flapjack, Adventure Time, Gumball, Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, Ben 10, Dexter’s Laboratory, and even some I don’t recognize! I’m a little disappointed that Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and Samurai Jack weren’t represented, but that’s still a lot of characters!
Star Wars Rebels Pinball (360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, PC, iOS)

The kids’ cable channel Disney XD has a new computer animated Star Wars cartoon called Star Wars Rebels. I’ve never seen the cartoon myself, as the only thing I watch on Disney XD is Gravity Falls. But I do sure see a lot of commercials for it! And now you can play a pinball table based on the franchise and it’s downloadable on Zen Studios’ Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball 2’s platforms (reviewed on 360 here).
Steven Universe: Attack the Light (iPad)

Steven Universe is a popular new animated series on Cartoon Network. And now you can go on an RPG adventure with Steven and the three Gem Warriors in Attack the Light, a new game you can download on the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon (reviewed on iPad here). The Gem Warriors Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl find a mysterious Prism, but when Steven touches it, a Light Monster escapes. When Garnet punches it, the monster splits into the different colors of the rainbow and scatters all over the place. Now it’s up to Steven and the others to battle light creatures and capture the monsters to save the day. They’ll need your help, too, but don’t forget your Cheeseburger Backpack!
LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (3DS, Vita)

LEGO Ninjago is a popular line of toys, as well as a long-running action-adventure computer animated series on Cartoon Network portraying the escapades of a group of LEGO ninja friends. Now you can embark on their latest journey on the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita (reviewed on 3DS here). One day, a mysterious villain named Ronin appears and steals the ninjas’ memories with a secret weapon called the Obsidian Glaive. Now it’s up to the four ninja heroes to find their own Obsidian weapons to regain their memories and elemental powers to stop Ronin’s evil plans in this all-new 3D adventure that plays similar to other LEGO titles.
Maya the Bee: Flying Challenge (iPad)

Maya the Bee was originally a German children’s book from the early 1900’s. But most people probably remember it as a Japanese anime cartoon from the 1970’s, which was shown on Nick Jr. in the US in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Yeah, back in those days, Nick Jr. showed a lot of children’s anime. And now there is a new computer animated Maya the Bee cartoon and movie. Not sure if the new cartoon is being shown in the US, but I think the movie is coming to video later on. Now you can help young Maya collect honey and rare flowers for her teacher Mrs. Cassandra in Maya the Bee: Flying Challenge. It’s a 3-D continuous runner (flyer?) downloadable for iOS and Android devices (reviewed on iPad here).

Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time is one of their most successful series, and they’ve made tons of video games based on the property (believe me; I’ve reviewed a lot of them). Their newest title, Game Wizard, is one of the most creative I’ve played yet! One day, Finn and Jake are walking through the forest when they come across a magic book and pencil surrounded by all sorts of strange runes. When they use the pencil to draw themselves in the book, their sketches come to life and they go on an adventure to stop the Doodle Wizard. And now you can draw your own adventures, too, as the game lets you draw levels using graph paper and scan them into your tablet! Adventure Time: Game Wizard is available for iOS, Google Play, and Amazon, but reviewed on iPad here.
SpongeBob HeroPants (3DS, 360, Vita)

A new SpongeBob SquarePants movie was recently released in theaters, and features the cast of the Nickelodeon hit cartoon in the real world. Fully computer animated in 3-D, SpongeBob and friends fight evil by turning into silly superhero versions of themselves. Now you can continue their super adventures with SpongeBob HeroPants for 3DS, 360, and Vita (reviewed on 3DS here).
