The original Dead Rising zombie game starred photojournalist Frank West, but the sequel featured a new main character. But if you missed good ol’ Frank from the first game, well, you’re in luck. Just in time for the month of Halloween it’s Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It’s the same game as before, but now you can play as Frank West and take pictures. My brother and Dead Rising fan, Jeff Orth, will be guest reviewing this one today (360 version reviewed here).

I went to the Cabela’s in Allen, TX this Sunday and got a good look at the hunting games from Activision out now or during the holidays.
Originally I wasn’t going to buy Tetris Axis, the new Tetris game on 3DS. Tetris may be my favorite puzzle game and all, but I don’t see any reason to own every single version of the game. Of course, that doesn’t stop me from buying every Pac-Man game out there, but that’s just the enigma that is me. But anyway, the other day I saw a video on how many different game modes were in Tetris Axis, and they looked like fun, so I caved in and picked it up after all. Besides, I promised my mom that when Animal Crossing comes out on 3DS, I’d buy her one, and this might be a game she would like to play, too. In honor of Solatorobo being released this week, I thought I’d write a blog about the publishers of that game, XSEED, and how they surpassed Atlus as my favorite niche game company. Now, I’m not bashing Atlus in any way, they’re still a great company and all. And they’re publishing an upcoming game I’m looking forward to (the next KOF game). But recently, XSEED has been releasing a wider variety of games that interest me more, so I thought I’d feature some of those games in this blog.
Supremacy MMA is a one-on-one mixed martial arts fighting game. Even though it’s an arcade style pick up and play kind of game, the fighting styles, moves and even injuries are realistic. Play as one of a handful of real and fictional fighters, each with their own styles from boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and others as you rise the ranks to the top (Xbox 360 version reviewed here).
