Unplugged: In a World

In a World is a card game with gameplay similar to something like Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity.  The theme of this one is you have cards that present you with wacky worlds, and you must pick cards with things you would want in that world.

Here’s the front of the box.

And the back of the box.

You’ll need at least three or more people to play.  You start off putting the “In a World” pile in the middle, and everyone draws seven cards from the “We Want” pile.  Someone will be the judge and you can alternate who that is every turn.  The judge will flip over a “In a World” card and read it, and then the other players pick the best answer from their “We Want” hand and place it face down.  Then the judge reads the answers and picks their favorite and everyone has a good laugh.  The winner keeps the “In a World” card if you want to keep score.

The reason why these kinds of games are so popular is they are very versatile and easy to learn to play.  You can go for a round each with someone being the judge and whoever wins the most votes after a certain number of rounds, wins the game.  Or you can just play for fun.  So if you like those kinds of card games, here’s another one that you may like.  Thanks to my family for helping me play and review this one.

Kid Factor:

From what I can tell, this one is family friendly and even though it says 10+ on the box, I’d say any kid who knows how to read will enjoy this one.  We had my six-year-old nephew playing who is just learning how to read (and doing a bang up job of it, by the way) and even though he needed help with a few of the words, he could still play just fine.  A great pick up and play family card game.
