Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle (3DS)

TENKAI_BOXTenkai Knights is a toy line and anime series on Cartoon Network. The story goes that in a parallel universe exists a cube-shaped planet, and its inhabitants can shapeshift from blocks into robotic warriors.  The denizens of this planet have endured a centuries-long war over their Tenkai energy source.  When it seemed like evil was about to take over the planet, a group of four brave robotic warriors called Tenkai Knights appeared and drove away the bad guys.  Now the evil is back and stronger than before, and a new generation of Tenkai Knights is needed.  For some reason, four teenage boys from Earth are transported to the war-torn planet to become the next batch of robotic fighter Tenkai Knights.  And now you can relive the action of the cartoon with Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle for Nintendo 3DS.

Super Monkey Ball Bounce (iPad)

MONKEY_BOXOne of SEGA’s greatest games on the Nintendo GameCube was Super Monkey Ball and its sequel. You rolled around as a monkey in a hamster ball, trying not to fall off the edges of challenging mazes, not to mention playing fun mini-games like bowling and target practice.  Now the monkeys are rolling, no, bouncing onto iOS and Android devices (reviewed on iPad here), in a game that’s not quite what you would think.  Super Monkey Ball Bounce is more akin to a pachinko machine.  If you enjoy playing games like Peggle, you may want to check this one out, especially since it’s free-to-play.

Light in the Dark (iPad)

LIGHT_BOXSo there are these luminous critters who suspiciously look like those guys from Cut the Rope, and they like to take naps in dark, ancient ruins. But one day their babies decided to wake up and get lost in the shadowy catacombs.  Now it’s up to the grown-ups to light the way and save their kids!  Light in the Dark is a unique game that requires you to solve light and shadow puzzles along with some color mixing, too.  It’s available to download on iOS devices, Android, and Windows Phone, but reviewed on iPad here.
