Touchmaster started out as a series of touch-based arcade games usually found in bars. They’ve ported over some as collections on the DS, though I’m not sure if ALL of them are from the arcade or if they made some up for the home version. I have them all on the DS, as I do like the casual puzzle fare these titles offer. Touchmaster Connect is the fourth in the series, so as I always do, here’s a rundown of all the games you can play on it!

Ghost Mania is a falling block puzzle game downloadable on the Wii. The rules are simple. Colored blocks are arranged at the bottom and top of the well, and you can shift around the ones on the top, like in Tetris Attack or Puzzle League. You can then drop two at a time onto the playfield. Same colored blocks will merge together, so you want to match blocks when you can. When you drop a special colored jewel piece, blocks of that same color adjacent to it will disappear and you’ll get points, similar to Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo.

One of the things I got for Christmas was a wall calendar with a different classic Atari game each month. Fits my personality pretty well, I think, and I hung it up at work. It reminded me that a few months ago, they released an Atari Greatest Hits collection on DS. I didn’t buy it right away because it was 30 bucks, but I saw it recently for around 20, so I snagged it. So here’s a rundown on what’s on Atari’s Greatest Hits vol. 1 for DS!

Happy New Year! And in honor of that, here’s a blog about the games I’m looking forward to in 2011! Now keep in mind that this list reflects my tastes in games, so it may seem a little weird to some. Also, this isn’t a complete list because there’s probably a bunch of games in 2011 that haven’t been announced yet. Consider that this time last year; we didn’t even know that there would be a new Kirby game on the Wii by the end of the year, for instance. Anyway, here are the games I’m looking forward to in 2011.

The Gaylord Texan is a huge hotel in Grapevine, TX (a suburb of Dallas). Every year they have an ice sculpture exhibit, and this year it featured the TV favorite A Charlie Brown Christmas. I know it’s a little late to do anything Christmas-ey, but we decided to go to it after Christmas during the day when I was off work so it would be less crowded. It was pretty amazing, and I took a bunch of pictures. Click and read on to see them!

I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed being an adult in the 80’s, but let me tell you, being a kid back then was GREAT! We had the best toys (Transformers), cartoons (DuckTales), video games (Pac-Man), and music (well, okay, 80’s music was cheesy but I like it anyway). And with films like Indiana Jones, Empire Strikes Back, Gremlins, and Ghostbusters, we also had some awesome movies, too! Now one of the best 80’s movie series is now a video game that’s actually very good! Get prepared to go to 88 miles per hour with Back to the Future: The Game, a downloadable PC episodic point and click adventure title from TellTale Games!
