Cary’s Super Five Top Fives
Back by popular demand (well, actually back by lack of ideas), here’s another list of five of Cary’s top five favorite stuff. Don’t worry, folks. I won’t do this again for a while. Don’t want to overdo it, you know?

You can tell when I’m nearly tapped for blog ideas when I start doing lists. But I’ll try to make these as fun to read as possible. Here are five ‘top five’ lists of some of my favorite stuff.
Valentine’s Day is when you let the people you care about know that you really appreciate them (shouldn’t that be everyday?). One way to show appreciation is to give gifts. Well my Valentine’s Day gift to all of you readers is a fun blog to read. It’s a lot less expensive than flowers and much less calories than chocolate, too.
Furu Furu Park is a collection of mini-games on the Wii. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. “Like the Wii NEEDS yet another collection of mini-games.” Well there’s two things about Furu Furu Park that make it stand out. One, most of the mini-games are based on classic arcade Taito titles, which give it some familiar charm. The other reason why Furu Furu Park is special is that it’s only 20 bucks. For the price, it’s pretty enjoyable. It’s certainly better than the Nintendo DS game that Furu Furu Park is based on. There was a collection of Taito mini-games on the DS called Turn it Around that used the touch screen like a ‘dial’ you turned around with the stylus. But in Furu Furu Park, you use the Wii remote in different ways to play the games. So here’s a rundown on all the games on Furu Furu Park.
Since I love classic arcade collections, here’s a quick rundown of the games in Atari Classics Evolved for PSP. Since most people here know (or can easily find out) about the old classic arcade titles on this package, we’ll just go over the Evolved versions of these games.
In the 1953 Looney Tunes cartoon Duck Amuck by Chuck Jones, an unseen animator bugs the crap out of Daffy Duck, with hilarious results. And this past year, a Nintendo DS game was made with that same concept and title. As a fan of cartoons, I was mildy curious about this game, but didn’t want to play full price for it. I’m sorry, GameCrazy, but it’s just not worth 35 bucks. Luckily I found it for 20 bucks elsewhere, so I decided to snag it.
Video games have come a long way in their 30 some odd year history. Blocky pixels have been replaced with smooth, 3-D polygons. Controlling your character has gone from one joystick and one button to actually moving the whole controller yourself. And what was jarring bleeps and bloops is now sweeping musical scores worthy of an orchestral soundtrack. And now, finally, people can enjoy their favorite video game songs played by a real orchestra with Play! A Video Game Symphony.
Welcome to the highly anticipated (by some people) Cary’s Best Video Games of 2007 Awards Show! With special guest stars like Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere, Ridley from Metroid Prime 3, Toad from the Mario series, Captain Rose from Zack & Wiki, Polka from Eternal Sonata, and many more! Actually there won’t be any guest stars like that since they’re not real. Awards shows just need guest stars, you know? But now, here’s your host, who definitely is real: Cary! Yay! (applause…please?)
Well, Christmas is over with, and I got everything I wanted. So here’s the typical blog describing what I got. And since Christmas is a time for giving as well as receiving, I thought I’d also tell you all what I GAVE to others. Because I like giving presents just as much, if not more so, than getting them. Yarrr! So come along, mehearties, and let me show you me Christmas booty…um, that didn’t come out quite right, did it?
Just thought I’d put up one more blog before Christmas. Just to talk briefly about the games I’ve been dabbling in lately, and give out holiday wishes to everyone. You know, that sort of stuff. Cue the sleigh bells…
