The Incredible Circus Remix (iPad)
There just aren’t enough circus themed games out there. You’d think that would be the perfect venue for video games since circuses are all about people overcoming obstacles, but there are very few good ones out there. So it’s nice to see one when it comes out. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, introducing The Incredible Circus Remix, a free-to-play downloadable game for iOS, Android, and Windows Phones (but reviewed on iPad here).

Unpixelate (iPad)
Unpixelate is a marble maze rolling game downloadable for the iPad and iPhone (reviewed on iPad here). Use the touch screen to control your marble as you roll around obstacles like pits and breakable floors. Try to collect all of the cubes in the level then head for the exit door. Gather enough cubes to unlock new levels. I guess the name comes from the fact that as you roll closer to objects, they become less pixelated and more clear and detailed.

Satellina (iPad)
Satellina is a touch screen game of skill available for download on iOS and Android devices (reviewed on iPad here). In the game, you use your finger to run over green dots, but try to avoid yellow and red dots. Once you’ve cleared all the green dots, the yellow dots turn green and the red dots turn yellow. In this fashion, you must clear the whole screen of dots. It’s that simple! If you touch a yellow or red dot, you’ll have to start the stage over again, so be careful!
The Princess Bride: The Official Game (iPad)
Wow, it’s been a LONG time since I’ve seen The Princess Bride movie. I don’t remember too much about it. I know there were some funny lines and Andre the Giant was in it, but that’s about it. I do know it’s since become a cult hit among fans, and I guess that’s why someone just now decided to make a game out of it. The Princess Bride: The Official Game is a downloadable title for iOS devices, but reviewed on iPad here.
Area 777 (iPad)
Aliens have invaded Las Vegas! Actually I went to Vegas for real a few years ago and I’m pretty sure aliens have been there for a while! Ha ha! Anyway, in this free-to-play iOS game (reviewed on iPad here), play as Chazz Fabulous, a clueless, idiotic Vegas stage magician who receives sarcastic tips from his hapless assistant. The only way to defeat these aliens is by…playing slots?!? Yup, but while this is your typical slot machine game, it certainly held my interest a bit more than most, so let’s see why.
Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN– (PS3, PS4)
Not really sure how you pronounce ‘Xrd’ or even what that means, but this is the newest in the Guilty Gear 2-D one-on-one fighter series. It’s available for PS3 and PS4, but reviewed on PS3 here. Just like other brawlers, pick your favorite anime-styled fighter and go against the computer or other players as you use fancy joystick movements and button combinations to perform outlandish moves to knock out your opponents.
ShakePop (iOS)
ShakePop turns your iOS device into a quick reaction game, similar to Simon or Bop-It. First, you choose from a selection of characters, each with a different voice. Then you follow their commands as quickly as you can. You may have to tap the screen, swipe it, pinch it with two fingers, double or triple tap it, flip it, and more. You get a point for each command you follow correctly, and the timer goes faster after a while. If you miss a command or don’t input it before time runs out, you lose. It’s available for iOS devices, but reviewed on iPad here.
FitStar Yoga (iPad)
Start your New Year fitness goals off right with FitStar. It’s a free-to-play fitness app for iPad that provides workout videos and charts your progress. I reviewed the original game about a year and a half ago, and now they have a version of it with Yoga exercises and poses. Find out if it’s worth paying money to subscribe to in this review.
