It’s the most controversial game that somehow garners no controversary even though it’s worse – in more ways than one – than Grand Theft Auto IV. Here’s some things parents should know, 9 things actually, before bringing this gang warfare game into their homes. Oh, one of the “things” is a minigame called “Ho’ing!”

Late in 2005 some friends at RPGDot came to me with the idea to do summary articles on the state on RPG gaming on the major handhelds. The release of the DS and particularly the PSP had intrigued many RPG fans who were not interested in consoles (wait, that sounds like me!), and so I put together three articles – one for the GBA, one for the DS and the last one for the PSP. The articles were very well received and when RPGWatch launched late in 2006, I was asked to update the state of handheld RPG’s once more. That is how ‘The Whole Game in My Hand’ was born.

Dear GamerDad: Why are most other parents so concerned about their 12 to 16 year old teens? Why do parents, instead of paying attention to their teen’s level of maturity, go to this website and look for general answers that might not fit their teen’s level of maturity?

I also have one of those big “10 Things Parents Should Know About” articles coming on this one. I’ve been back in a criminal city. Same as GTA IV, only here I’m a hispanic 6’6 300 redhead who speaks with a Spanish Accent. I can’t explain that. Here’s the content review for the game that gets no respect or reputation. Game Review: Samba de Amigo (Wii)

The short-lived but beloved Sega Dreamcast video game console had its share of innovative and uniquely fun games. One of those was the music/rhythm title Samba de Amigo. Players would shake maraca peripheral controllers (sold separately) to the beat of the music at either high, middle, or low intervals, depending on the on-screen cues. The maracas used a sensor bar to detect height, similar to how the sensor bar on the Wii detects the motion of the remotes. So it only seems natural to port Samba de Amigo to the Wii. Game Review: King of Clubs (Wii)

Standard golf can only be jazzed up so far, but by its very nature, miniature golf is just crying out for enhancement and improvement. In King of Clubs, gamers play on over a dozen different mini golf courses based around six different themes such as prehistoric, medieval, or Egyptian. In addition to standard miniature golf obstacles and hazards, players can use clubs and golf balls with special abilities to make their way around the course. With tournament, career, fast play, and even a speed version of the game, King of Clubs provides a decent option for some fun golf-related Wii entertainment.

The Playstation 3 exclusive LittleBigPlanet does not go on sale until the end of the month, but a few (thousand) lucky people have already been able to play with the beta. As it has been one of my most anticipated titles for Sony’s big black machine, I’m very grateful that I am one of those lucky people.

I mentioned doing something for the BBC earlier, what we had to do was speak into a minidisc player via a comically large radio microphone. We sat on the couch – I did not, repeat, did not – prepare the children and we started talking. Two takes later we’d convinced, mostly through threats of DS confiscation, that this was NOT a time to start making fart noises and laughing really loud.
