My Weight Loss Coach

While Ubisoft didn’t provide it for me  (hint hint) I got to do the write-up for My Weight Loss Coach for the DS. WhatTheyPlay doesn’t let me give a rating or talk quality but I can’t recommend this “game” enough if you’re the type who can be motivated by a game cartridge. (And I’ll cop to that. See, I never ever ever went jogging yet I’m doing it ALL THE TIME IN WII FIT?!?)

  1. I couldn’t picture myself using that. I downloaded something for my PDA after my wife and I started tracking ‘points’ as we worked to lose the pounds added during the recent move … and I never used it.

  2. I think they only released that Weight Loss Coach game to ride the coattails of Wii Fit. I got My Word Coach on the DS for ten bucks for my mom’s birthday. She needs it after having to ask me every other word in Cross Words DS. 🙂 –Cary

  3. Mike, points? Are you doing WW?

  4. My wife finally lost all of her post-baby weight using exercise and WW ~4 years ago, and has kept it off. The poor eating habits from the whole house selling and relocation process (as well as some medical stuff on my part) left us needing to take a few pounds off, so she started up counting again and I kept it going until I hit a good rhythm knowing what was what.

  5. We are doing it now. I have lost weight on it before, but my problem has always been returning to bad eating habits. I think it is a good program.

  6. The thing I like about weight watchers is that instead of selling you food, they teach you how to make better food choices. The stuff that we started doing with my wife four years ago is ingrained in our eating habits daily, and benefits the kids as well. We subscribe to Cooking Light, and have been eating some really great stuff that is quite healthy and light. We had a nice kabob and a chocolate dessert that were excellent last night … but not unhealthy.

On topic – I saw this at GameStop last night … $40! But I suppose it *does* include a pedometer … I just wonder if it works better than most of the other crap ones I’ve found.
