Hyperdimension Neptunia is a typical turn-based Japanese RPG with a not so typical storyline and characters. The premise pokes fun of the video game business and its companies and consoles. A land called “Gameindustri” is ruled by four Goddesses, each one loosely representing a major game console maker (Wii, 360, PS3, etc.). One of these Goddesses, Neptunia, is cast down to the world below. Now as a human, Neptunia must use her transformation powers to defeat evil and unite the worlds in Gameindustri.

Last time on my blog I talked about all the Capcom characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (please read it if you haven’t already), so now we’ll go over the Marvel side. Now, keep in mind that I’ve never really gotten into comic books at all, and since I’m too lazy to do research, my silly observations on each character may sound very much uninformed. So that’s where you all come in. If you like comics and know a lot about Marvel characters, feel free to fill me in and correct my assumptions of each character on the list. It would be much appreciated. I have lots of friends who are into comic books, so every so often I’ve TRIED to get into them, too. But I just can’t. But I might try again soon since I hear Boom Comics is making some based on two of my favorite cartoons: Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck. I think the only comic book series I ever REALLY got into was Sam & Max. But anyway, here are the Marvel characters in MvsC3.

Last time we left Marty and Doc in the Back to the Future point and click adventure from TellTale, Marty went back into the 1930’s prohibition era to rescue Doc Brown. After a run-in with Tannen’s gangster grandfather “Kid” Tannen, Marty and Doc safely return to 1986. Only to find that they altered the timeline somehow so that “Kid” Tannen never goes to jail and Marty’s grandfather Arthur is bumped off by his goons. Now, in order to avoid a present-day crime ridden Hill Valley run by Biff Tannen and his new brothers (not to mention Marty never being born), Doc and Marty must travel back to the 1930’s to make sure “Kid” Tannen gets arrested by Jennifer Parker’s (Marty’s girlfriend’s) grandfather, Officer Danny Parker!

Two classic games: the arcade favorite Donkey Kong and the tried and true challenge of Jenga. You wouldn’t think at first that they would go together, but they actually do if you think about it. Donkey Kong is all about maneuvering through a teetering construction tower, and Jenga requires you make your wobbly tower as high as you can. So now you can do both in Donkey Kong Jenga. How high can you get?
