Disney Infinity (PS3, Wii U, 360, 3DS, Wii)

DISNEY_BOXRecently a report went out saying that Skylanders is the top selling action figure line here in the US. Now Disney wants of piece of the action, too! So here comes Disney Infinity, a video game action figure combo where you place popular Disney character figures on a stand and then you can play as them in the Disney Infinity game! It’s available for nearly all the current popular game consoles, but the PS3 version is reviewed here.

DuckTales: Remastered (PS3, Wii U, 360, PC)

DUCK_BOXI can describe this title in five words: ‘This game is my childhood.’ I think that’s worth repeating in all caps. THIS GAME IS MY CHILDHOOD. The Fighters of Dragon’s Crown (PS3, Vita)

DRAGON_BOXOne of the games I got recently was Dragon’s Crown on the PS3. It seems like it would probably be a better fit on the Vita, but since I only have a PS3, I’ll just be happy with that version! I thought it might be fun to write a little bit about the characters you can control in the game, so here’s a short blog about the fighters you can play as. I was in a silly mood when I wrote this, so be warned!

Pac-Man Dash (iPad)

DASH_BOXMany popular video game characters have jumped on the continuously running game genre so prevalent on the mobile gaming platforms. Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic Dash), and Rayman (Rayman’s Jungle Run), to name a few. Now Pac-Man is taking a bite out of the dash and run gameplay concept with Pac-Man Dash for iOS devices (played on iPad for this review). The game is also based on the new computer animated cartoon on Disney XD: Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures!

Rivals at War 2084 (iPad)

RIVALS_BOXThis is a free-to-play game for iOS and Android devices (iPad version reviewed here). It’s a card battle game with a futuristic war theme. Select soldier cards, equip them with armor cards and other attribute cards to beef up their stats, and pick a few boost cards to help your team for good measure. Then view how your strategy plays out in 3-D action sci-fi war scenes.

Tunnel Town (iPad)

TUNNEL_BOXBurrowing your way onto iOS devices (reviewed on iPad here), comes Tunnel Town, a spinoff of the popular National Geographic Animal Jam franchise. Colorful bunnies from the Animal Jam world have been whisked away to a strange new place, and you must help them build and dig a fantastic new home! This game is similar to other simulation titles such as Farmville, Viva Piñata, or Animal Crossing (with a little bit of Dig Dug thrown in for good measure).

New StreetPass Mii Plaza 3DS Games Reviewed!

MIIPLAZAAbout a month ago, Nintendo brought out a massive update to the 3DS StreetPass Mii Plaza program, and added four games in addition to Puzzle Swap and Find Mii I & II. I’ve been able to try these games with some StreetPass tags I’ve gotten over the past month at meetups and whatnot, so now I’m ready to properly talk about these titles.
