Robot Race is a downloadable iPad game that plays like a kart racer…with robots! Choose from one of several robots to race as, each with varying skills, and then compete in lap races, roller derby style (seriously, it looks like the robots are roller skating down the tracks). Do a quick race on a single track or compete in several races in a row to win a cup.
Johnny Impossible (3DS)
UFO Interactive’s Johnny character has been getting around lately. He’s been a Kung-Fu master, a sharp-shooting cowboy, and even starred in his own LCD Game & Watch style game. Now he’s taking on the evil Mr. Wang and his gang as a super spy in this 2-D stealth platformer, downloadable from the eShop on Nintendo 3DS.

Something is wrong again in Wasteland, where cartoon stars go when they are forgotten. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, leader of the Wasteland, calls on Mickey Mouse once again to aid him in Wasteland. Now it’s up to Mickey and Oswald to team up to save the day! But can the Mad Doctor really be trusted? Epic Mickey 2 is available for all current game consoles (360 version reviewed here).
Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion (3DS)
One of the highlights of the early days of the Sega Genesis in the 16-bit years was Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (this was even before Sonic the Hedgehog). Now, more than 20 years later, we get a direct sequel with Power of Illusion, which takes elements of the classic game and mixes them with gameplay ideas from the more recent Epic Mickey series. One day, in the Wasteland, a place where forgotten cartoon stars go, a mysterious castle appeared. It was the evil witch Mizrabel’s Castle of Illusion, and she’s none too happy about being forgotten! So she uses her magic to kidnap famous cartoon characters and traps them in her castle, in a plan to steal their heart power so she can go back to the toon world. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, caretaker of the Wasteland, calls upon Mickey Mouse once again to infiltrate her castle, rescue the toon-napped prisoners, and foil Mizrabel’s evil plans!

Chuck E. Cheese’s Alien Defense Force (DSiWare)
When I was a little kid, I used to love going to Chuck E Cheese’s. Was it because of the creepy robotic band on stage? Heck, no! Was it because of the sub-par pizza? Absolutely not! No, I loved all the arcade games! Did you know that Chuck E. Cheese was started by the same guy who founded Atari, to make arcades more accessible to families? Now UFO is trying to recreate the arcade fun of Chuck E. Cheese with Chuck E. Cheese’s Alien Defense Force, a downloadable DSiWare title for play on the DSi and 3DS.
