Play as a heroic astronaut as you explore randomly generated space stations. Avoid dangerous lasers, rogue robots, and other obstacles as you collect items, power-ups, and coins, not to mention rescue lots of aliens!

Dr. Phluff, a mad scientist with a human body and a dolphin head, set out to make a cute pink little microscopic tentacled critter. But his experiment went awry, and he created a black, one-eyed tentacled microscopic creature with a mean disposition. In a fit of rage, the scientist accidentally swallows his little creation from the Petri dish. Now, you play as the tiny one-eyed tentacled monster as you navigate internal organ mazes and dangerous obstacles inside the doctor. Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is a mobile game available on Windows Phone, and now iPhone and iPad (iPad version reviewed here).
Wipeout 3 (Xbox 360 Kinect, Wii, 3DS)

The ABC Channel’s obstacle course game show Wipeout is still going strong, so here’s another video game based on the hit TV program. With the Xbox Kinect and a new way to view the action, you’ll feel like you’re part of the show more than ever before. Or will you? You’ll just have to read on to find out. Wipeout 3 is available for Xbox 360 Kinect, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo 3DS (Kinect version reviewed here).

Angry Birds has become a recent gaming phenomenon in the mobile department. It’s available on nearly every smartphone, tablet, and other hi-tech portable touch screen devices. The Birds’ popularity has seeped into other products as well, as you can find Angry Birds plushes, fruit snacks, bandages, coloring books, balloons, clothing and apparel, and even dog toys! The simplicity and accessibility of the game is the secret to Angry Birds’ success. Gold fever is hitting the 3DS in a big way. First with New Super Mario Bros. 2, and now Samurai G. As the lone samurai Tetsuo, it’s up to you to protect Tengu’s gold from Warlord Fuma and his army of evil warriors and ninjas. A Tengu is a crow monster from Japanese myths and legends, and if his magical gold falls into the wrong hands, Feudal Japan could be done for. Double Dragon Neon (PS3, 360)

Back in the 80’s, Double Dragon was a huge hit in arcades, and is considered to be the first co-op side scrolling beat ‘em up. Or at least the first one to do it right anyway. The game became insanely popular, and spawned many sequels and ports, a cartoon show, and even a live action movie! Now, Majesco and WayForward have teamed up for a totally bro-dacious Double Dragon remake, dripping with 80’s rad-ness, downloadable for PS3 and 360 (PS3 version reviewed here).
