Other Games that Would Make Good Dynasty Warriors Crossovers
Well, Hyrule Warriors has been released, and it’s a mix up of two different game series. It combines The Legend of Zelda’s characters and settings with Dynasty Warriors’ action and gameplay. So that got me to thinking: what other games would make good Dynasty Warriors crossovers? Here are my top five picks.
G.P. the GamerPuppet Unboxes Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call Collectors Edition (3DS)
Hey folks, G.P. the GamerPuppet here. Game reviewer Cary just loved the original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy game. It was a music game featuring memorable songs from the Final Fantasy series of RPGs. Cary played it WAY too much back then, and even named it his Game of the Year for 2012! So when the sequel was released this week, Cary splurged and got the Collectors Edition that you could only order from Square-Enix’s website. Think of it as a birthday present to himself. But first I’ll unbox it and show you everything you get inside!

PAX Prime 2014: Day 1: Seattle Warriors
The Penny Arcade Expo, or PAX for short, is one of the largest public video game conventions in the US. They have one in Boston, a newly announced PAX South in San Antonio in January (which I will be going to as well), but the big main one was just in Seattle over this past Labor Day weekend. I just got back from that one, so for the rest of this week, we’ll take a look at what I did and games I played at this year’s PAX Prime! Let’s get started!
Mastering Minecraft (Book)
Minecraft is one of the biggest gaming phenomena in recent history, with versions of it on the PC, consoles, and tablets. It’s spawned countless products like T-shirts, toys, and keychains, and I think it was even featured on an episode of South Park (I wouldn’t know, I don’t like that show). ALL my brothers have been into Minecraft at some point, and with its free-roaming nature and retro graphics, it looks appealing even to me! Only reason why I don’t play it is because I’m afraid I’d get sucked into it too much. But if you’re looking to get into Minecraft, BradyGames has a book that can help you get started. Let’s take a look inside.
Unplugged: GenCon 2014
I was able to once again attend GenCon this year. I was one of 56,000+ people who headed down to Indianapolis to play board, role-playing, and trading card games.
I wrote up my thoughts (as well as quite a few photos) at the site: www.OpinionatedGamers.com
Ultra Street Fighter IV Official Bible (Book)
There are some folks out there who are really into fighting games. I mean, REALLY into fighting games. Heck, people have big publicized fighting game competitions every year, that’s how big it is. So if you’re one of those types who are really into fighting games, or if you want to get that way, then BradyGames has you covered with their Ultra Street Fighter IV Official Bible. This guide, based on the new iteration of Capcom’s flagship fighter, is written for pros, by pros. Let’s take a quick look and see what you’ll find inside.
Cary’s Top Ten Tekken Toughies!
Recently I ordered a birthday present for a close relative online, but it wasn’t enough to get free shipping. So I ordered Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for Wii U to go along with it. I’m not a big fan of Tekken games, but I’ve been known to buy a couple of them if they have a few modes and features I like, and if the price is low enough. For instance, I got Tekken 4 when it was cheap, simply because hidden in the game was an old Namco arcade 3-D space shooter called StarBlade. The Wii U edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had some Nintendo-centric modes and features I was curious about trying, but not curious enough to pay full price for. But I found it cheap enough now online, and I’ve been playing it off and on. So in honor of that, here is a blog about my top ten favorite Tekken fighters!
