In honor of the two-year anniversary of the release of the 3DS, and the one-year anniversary of the North Dallas/Plano, TX Area StreetPass meetups, we’re planning something really big! All the 3DS StreetPass meeting groups in the North Dallas area, including Forth Worth, are coming together for one big meetup at the Main Event in Grapevine this coming Saturday, March 30th starting at 1:00 pm. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, and the upcoming release of a certain game next week, I’m going to write a little tribute blog to one of video gaming’s most famous green-clad heroes: Luigi! I’m not going to take a look at EVERY game Luigi’s been in, just the ones I feel are most important. At one time, Luigi was originally my favorite Mario character. That is, until Super Mario Kart came along and I realized how awesome Toad was. But Luigi is still tops in my book, way cooler than Mario anyway. Anyway, let’s take a look at some of Luigi’s highlights in gaming.

Happy Easter, everyone! (It’s at the end of March) Just wanted to share something I found at the store (Target), that’s both Easter and video game related. It’s an Angry Birds Easter Egg Decorating Kit! Not sure what Angry Birds and Easter have in common, but I guess birds do lay eggs. But oh well, it’s all in fun, so let’s take a closer look.

I was running out of blog ideas and someone suggested that I list my favorite RPG characters. Now I know I’ve written blogs about my favorite Final Fantasy and Tales characters, but I haven’t listed all of them at once plus characters from other RPGs that I enjoy. So since I liked that reader’s idea, here’s a list of my favorite RPG characters. I tried to keep it limited to random monster encounter turn based battle RPGs, because if I listed characters from action RPGs like Zelda or Ys, my list would be WAY too long! So let’s get started.
