Dead Rising 3 Strategy Guide (Book)

DEAD1If you were lucky enough to get an Xbox One, one of the games you’re probably enjoying right now is Dead Rising 3. In the first game, you explored a zombie-filled shopping mall, in the second, a group of casinos and resorts. And in the third game, now you get to explore an entire zombie infected city! If that seems a bit daunting, luckily BradyGames has a strategy guide for you! Let’s take a look:

Disney Infinite Skylander Showdown

vs boxingFor the third year in a row, the hybrid videogame-collectible figurine game Skylanders has come out with yet another cross-platform title. The Skylanders line of miniatures used in a video game no longer stands alone in this category, as Disney’s Infinity has now swept onto the scene drawing on its vast wealth of proprietary characters and environments to create a similar, but different game experience. Both games are designed to encourage gamers (parents) to purchase additional figurines to use within the game. With most gamers (and parents) having limited reserves with which to purchase games and toys this holiday season, which is the better game? We take a look at the two games in a head to head matchup to help you decide which game is the right one for you. In both cases, the 3DS version of the games differ significantly from the main titles, so we’ll focus in on the console versions here.

Cary’s Top Five Favorite Phoenix Wright Characters

bluebadgericonThe Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney game series is my favorite series on the DS. The newest in the saga: Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies is out now this week on the 3DS eShop. I’m a little sad that it’s not getting a retail version, but if digital is the only way that Capcom could release it in the US and still make money, then I’ll happily download it that way! Just need to get me a Nintendo Points card! Anyway, Phoenix Wright games are like point and click adventures where you search crime scenes to find clues and evidence, and then use what you find in court to catch witnesses telling lies. One of the best things about these games is the cast of colorful and fun characters, so in honor of the release of the newest game, here are my top five favorite Phoenix Wright characters!

Top Five Zelda Remakes that Cary Thinks Should Be Made

ZELDA_BOXThe Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD was just recently released for Wii U, and it’s a pretty darn nifty remake, too. It’s just another good example of why I still like the GameCube better than the Wii. And it’s great that so many more people are going to finally be able to enjoy this game, since a lot of folks shunned the original release because of the cartoony graphics. Which is a shame because it’s one of the most visually stunning Zelda games out there. It’s also a pretty special game for GamerDad.com, too, because if I’m not mistaken, the original Wind Waker was the first game that was reviewed on the site! I didn’t review it, as I discovered the site a couple of months after it had started, though. Anyway, Wind Waker HD got me to thinking about other Zelda games that should be remade or re-released into collections of sorts, so here are my top five Zelda games I want remade! But be warned, some of my choices you might disagree with!
